EQ Dozen + Quilting 27, 28 from Virtual Quilter

Very interesting!

I would be tempted to embroider the quilting designs, but either leaving it as quilted or embroidered I would do background quilting in a thread to match the background.

Baker’s Dozen 45, 46 from Virtual Quilter

Not my favourite mix of colours by a long way, but I love this project file, and all the designs in it.

I think my favourite of these two designs is the first one, but i may change my mind.

EQ Dozen OP 57, 58 from Virtual Quilter

All the blocks in this project file, and others which have the EQ prefix, are designs direct from the Electric Quilt Block Library. Though i have to admit that I did play with one of the blocks. The centre block in the design above is from the library, which I divided to make four corner blocks. Well, one corner block which I can turn around to use in four corners.

EQ Dozen OP 55.56 from Virtual Quilter

The EQ Dozen project files were amongst the first project files created for the Virtual Quilter blog, and I still like playing whenever I open them … not that I need to as there are plenty of designs in there to cover quite a few more blog posts!

The first design today is a bit busy ...

EQ Dozen Again 15, 16 from Virtual Quilter

Two blocks direct from the Electric Quilt library, and I like it.

I love mixing pieced and applique blocks in quilts, as it adds a lot of interest to any design to mix in something a bit different.

EQ Dozen OP 48, 49, 50 from Virtual Quilter

This is an extension of the first project file I started to use purely as virtual quilts. I found that mixing straight settings and on point settings meant that i had to keep mixing them up after I had spent time playing with one setting type as I would add at least five designs of one, usually way more. A lot simpler to keep them separate.

I also started playing with sashing which sometimes disappeared.

I wonder if that knotted block would work as a pieced block instead of applique?
